The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, was asked in the Political Romania show from the First News if there is a perspective, perhaps from 2027, to increase the salaries, under the conditions in which a new salary law, milestone in PNR, must be worked.
“It is a discussion, but at the same time I would not want to ignore the fact that last year, in the medical system, there was an increase in wages, more for nurses and auxiliary staff, which remained behind in 2019, when there was the biggest growth in the field, but also for doctors. There was an increase including last year. We now have a problem, justified otherwise, namely that the payment of the guards is not made as a percentage of the income of 2025, but is made in relation to 2018. Here it is justified.
I have often said that we are in discussions with the Ministry of Labor, with the Ministry of Finance, we are trying to find a variant. I do not think that this year will happen, because the budget pressure, the fiscal pressure is a high one, but there is this thinking and there is something in perspective, which is also a milestone in the PNR, namely the payment on performance, an additional payment for the fulfillment of certain indicators ”said the minister.
“I do not expect that in the health area we will meet cuttings”
About the budget rectification, the Minister of Health said that it has been working for about two weeks intense for this rectification.
“I do not expect that in the health area we will meet cuttings, on the contrary. I do not expect exceptional increases, but we expect a balanced budget, which will ensure the necessary budget for the end of the salaries and for the payment of medicines and medical suppliers.“, The minister said.
The minister also said that there were extended discussions with the Minister of Finance that always had a prompt, fast and positive reaction in health.
“For example, last week, from the reserve fund, the Ministry of Health’s budget for treatment did not abroad.
Now we are looking for solutions for the payment of debts from the National Health Insurance House. So there has always been a support in this area ”completed Rogobete.
The Minister of Health stressed that the president of the party, Sorin Grindeanu, also had discussions, including today, on the health budget.
“We try to reach an area of balance. I repeat, I do not expect exceptional increases, I expect a balance budget in the given situation, so that we do not endanger the functioning of the system, not to endanger the patients”, he showed.
