Abrudean: “I have never heard premiers in recent years to condition their own mandate reforms. It is about responsibility”

The president of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean, spoke in an interview for the “Adevărul” about the reforms that the Bolojan government assumed, pointing out that it is for the first time that a prime minister conditions his mandate reforms.

“Of course, some of them are at the Constitutional Court and we expect the verdict (no-4 projects in package II). But it is for the first time, I think, when in the last period, an extremely determined prime minister, who has conditioned the reforms of his mandate, and here he was accused at some point that I have been talking about the last years. Here, regardless of where, to condition their own mandate reforms.

It is about responsibility and I return to what I said at the beginning, integrity, the desire to do serious things. This is what I think is doing the Bolojan government now, with the people we see in the government, with this coalition and I think this should be a bit in Parliament and maybe the image of Parliament and the policy in general to change over time. It is very difficult to recredit an institution or the public system, but through such steps, I think we manage to do this ”, explains Mircea Abrudean in an interview for “Adevărul”.

Magistrates’ reform, at CCR

The head of the Senate is of the opinion that the prime minister should remain to the end, according to the protocol: “I think Prime Minister Bolojan is the best person, the only one, who has assumed this role. At first, let’s not forget, that no one has been too crowded, because it is a complicated situation and a man is as responsible as possible.. It is that person and I think it should remain to the end, in this position, until it expires, of course, according to the Coalition Protocol. ”

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan has previously understood that he could submit his mandate if the pensions of the magistrates will not pass the RCC. The project is to be analyzed on October 8 by constitutional judges, after being notified by the Gold, SOS and Pot parties.

“The law returns, obviously, to the initiators. The initiators of the Government of Romania. The draft law may be modified if it is considered the case”, Abrudean explains.

About the fact that gold remained the main party of the opposition, Abrudean states that he benefits from the unpopular measures: “DWe take it from a democratic perspective, to tell her, of course it is not exactly healthy to have only such a party, with such a doctrine, or please, more parties, but in the same sphere, in opposition, because it is clear that they will benefit from all the dissatisfaction that comes from the measures that the Government takes.

And unfortunately the measures are unpopular. Reforms are not the most accepted, to say, by the vast majority of the population. So, from this perspective, of course, it may feel the need to have other opposition parties. But, on the other hand, in the situation where Romania is located at this time, and was three months ago and something, when this government was invested, another solution did not exist. ”
