“I am concerned about the number of explosions recently and as Minister of Health, you realize that because any such explosion results in casualties, especially with severe burns, or this system can react and respond up to a point in terms of patient numbers, one on hand. Two on hand, the temperatures have not dropped so much as to require heating systems to operate at full capacity and that is my concern. If from now we started every week we have an explosion because the systems are not checked or are improvised, I don’t want to think about what will happen in the winter“, the Minister of Health declared to Digi24.

Rogobete announces inspections of hospitals in the country that have gas installations, starting next week.

“Today I will have a meeting with Mr. Ivan, the Minister of Energy, to draw up a control and verification strategy for the gas systems and we will start with the sanitary facilities. Basically I want as a preventive measure to check the gas installations inside the sanitary facilities, inside the hospitals, certainly where they exist, to make sure that they are checked and working properly and then we will think of a strategy together for prevention, I repeat, this time to check these systems with a preventive purpose. From this week next year, we will start these checks in all sanitary facilities that have a gas installation”he said.

Five people were injured following an explosion in a block of flats in Buftea, in Ilfov county, on Tuesday evening.

The explosion caused the floor between two floors to collapse, and firefighters say there is a risk that the entire building will collapse.
