Canadian singer Celine Dion announced Monday, on her 58th birthday, that she will return to the stage this fall with 10 concerts in Paris, scheduled for September and October.
The announcement, expected by fans, comes after an advertising campaign appeared on the streets of Paris, which fueled speculations about the return of the artist to the French capital, writes Mediafax.
“This year I will receive the most beautiful gift of my life. I will have the chance to come see you and sing for you again in Paris this fall, starting in September”said Celine Dion on the France 2 station.
The message was also accompanied by a play of lights projected on the Eiffel Tower. Pre-sale tickets will be available from April 7th and general sale starts on April 10th.
Celine Dion became world famous in the late 90s with the song “My Heart Will Go On“, the soundtrack of the film “Titanic”.
In 2022, the artist took a medical break from her career after announcing that she was suffering from Rigid Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disease that causes severe muscle spasms and affected her ability to sing. His first public appearance in two years was at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics, where he performed ““Hymne à l’amour” by Edith Piaf.
That moment rekindled fans’ hopes that the artist would return to the big stages, something now confirmed by the series of concerts in Paris.
