Journalist Cristian Tudor Popescu commented on the scandal involving Cristian Anton, former chief of staff of Sorin Grindeanu, caught by the DNA with 500,000 euros in a shoe box. The writer also analyzed the decision of the court in Brussels, which obliges Romania to pay hundreds of millions of euros to Pfizer for the unused vaccines and criticized “the latest piece of crap from Trump“.
According to the journalist, the corruption scandal in which Cristian Anton was arrested shows how the PSD protects its “piggy banks” in the administration.
“Grindeanu’s old comrade, his former chief of staff C. Anton, was just caught by the DNA in flagrante delicto, with a bribe of 500,000 euros frozen in a shoe box. Are you wondering why PSD has not yet left the government, after so many fake Trump-style threats? Well, because, being in power, he can place his “piggy banks” in the administration thick spinach“.

CTP also commented on the reaction of the PSD leader, Sorin Grindeanu, after Anton’s detention

CTP predicts the future of the party led by Sorin Grindeanu, in the context of the accusations that PSD pays a “protection fee” to a TV station:
“PSD pays 50,000 euros per month to the Marș TV station, as a protection fee. Which shows that Grindeanu and company, indeed, will not govern with the AUR – they will be governed by the AUR.”

About AUR and the law against extremism
The journalist also spoke about the AUR’s efforts regarding the law against extremism, anti-Semitism and fascism:

Cristian Tudor Popescu also commented on the decision of the Belgian court, which obliges Romania to pay compensation of 600 million euros for the ordered and unused anti-COVID vaccine doses:
“The court in Brussels decided, in the first instance, that Romania should pay 600 million euros in compensation to the Pfizer company because the government ordered a huge number of anti-covid vaccines, which, of course, were not used. If the decision is upheld on appeal, a logical consequence would be the trial and imprisonment of Mr. Florin Cîțu and Vlad Voiculescu, as well as Ms. Ioana Mihăilă, in case they can’t pay the hundreds of millions of euros?”

In the same post, Cristian Tudor Popescu also analyzed international tensions, stating that Europe must defend itself not only from Russia, but also from the Trump administration’s policy.
