The Ministry of Education published on Thursday, April 9, the final results of the simulation of the national Baccalaureate exam, held between March 23 and 26, 2026. According to the institution, 778,464 assessments were made this year, approximately 13% more than in the 2025 simulation, the increase being attributed to the higher participation of students.
The simulation took place in 1,364 high schools throughout the country, and the number of candidates was higher in all tests:
Romanian language and literature: over 114,600 students (compared to 101,000 in 2025)
Mandatory profile test (Mathematics/History): over 113,100 (99,900 in 2025)
Sample of your choice: over 111,100 (98,300 in 2025)
Mother tongue: over 6,100 (5,500 in 2025)
The Ministry specifies that each paper was evaluated digitally, with at least two correctors, and in cases where the difference between grades exceeded one point, additional evaluators intervened.
Results by discipline: significant increases compared to 2025
The analysis of centralized data shows a visible improvement in student performance in all tests:
Romanian language and literature
Grades of 5 and above: 77.23% (compared to 66.84% in 2025)
Grades between 9 and 10: 6.56%
Compulsory profile test (Mathematics/History)
Grades of 5 and above: 64.48% (63.28% in 2025)
Grades between 9 and 10: 9.06%

Student access to works
The 2026 Baccalaureate simulation works remain in the educational units where the tests were held.
Specialist teachers can consult the works of students in their classes, and schools will make available the assessment slips sent by the Ministry, so that students can analyze their performance.
Baccalaureate calendar 2026
The national Baccalaureate exam 2026 begins in June, with the assessment of skills and continues with the written tests at the end of the month.
