On Tuesday, May 26, 6th grade students take the Language and Communication test – Romanian Language, as part of the National Assessment, according to the calendar approved by the Ministry of Education and Research.

Testing continues on Wednesday, May 27, with the Mathematics and Natural Sciences test, and on Thursday, May 28, students belonging to national minorities will take the Language and Communication – Mother Tongue test.

The evaluations have the role of measuring the level of preparation of the students and the skills acquired during the years of study. According to the Ministry of Education, the tests are designed to check both the knowledge gained in the classroom and the skills of understanding and applying information, including items that track the level of functional literacy of students.

Unlike the national exams held in the final years, the results of these assessments are not made public and are not displayed. Also, grades are not included in the catalog unless parents request this in writing.

After completing the tests, students and their parents or legal representatives will receive information on the level of skills assessed and the stage of their development. The results will also be used to develop individualized learning plans, adapted to the needs of each student.

For each test administered as part of the National Assessment in the 4th and 6th grades, the working time allocated to the students is 60 minutes.
