The interim prime minister, Ilie Bolojan, stated, regarding the illegal asylums in Bihor county where hundreds of victims were exploited under the guise of a humanitarian association, that what he knows is from the public information that appeared on Tuesday.
Ilie Bolojan was asked, on Tuesday evening, on TVR 1, about the case instituted by DIICOT regarding the illegal asylums in Bihor, considering that he was the president of the Bihor County Council.
“I know what I saw today from the public information. I know that the DSU and the Ministry of Labor requested emergency aid, which I approved this evening, so that the people who were removed from this association are relocated to institutions in the neighboring counties, so that these people can find shelter, because without the allocation of this support they would not have met the conditions to be accommodated in the centers owned by the state institutions”. said the interim prime minister, News writes.
Prosecutors of the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism and police officers of the Criminal Investigations Directorate carried out, on Tuesday, dozens of searches at the homes of some people and at the headquarters of some companies and a public institution in Bihor county, in the case of a network accused of exploiting, in the last six years, hundreds of vulnerable or mentally ill people, brought from several hospitals in the country, under the guise of an association humanitarian who would have obtained huge sums of money from donations, sponsorships, contributions, pensions, disability allowances and other social aids and benefits. Dying victims were illegally buried at the edge of a cemetery.
The investigators established that the damage in this case exceeds 13 million lei. It is about the Association Dumbrava DPG – God Takes Care, whose leader is Viorel Pašca, a 55-year-old man.
