Prosecutors of the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism and police officers of the Criminal Investigations Directorate carried out, on Tuesday, dozens of searches at the homes of some people and at the headquarters of some companies and a public institution in Bihor county, in the case of a network accused of exploiting, in the last six years, hundreds of vulnerable or mentally ill people, brought from several hospitals in the country, under the guise of an association humanitarian who would have obtained huge sums of money from donations, sponsorships, contributions, pensions, disability allowances and other social aids and benefits.
