Rod Stewart has suspended the remainder of his farewell tour “One Last Time” after undergoing cardiac surgery to implant a coronary stent, the artist’s representatives confirmed.
The decision comes in the context in which the musician had already canceled several shows in the last few days, reports The Associated Press and AFP, quoted by News.ro.
Tuesday night’s concert at Cleveland’s Rocket Arena has been canceled, just two days after the show at Cincinnati’s Riverbend Music Center was postponed, initially due to a “unforeseen but minor medical intervention”. Earlier in the year, Stewart had also dropped two shows in Las Vegas and one in San Diego.

According to a statement sent by his press agent, the 81-year-old artist has successfully undergone heart surgery and doctors are satisfied with his progress. Stewart is feeling well and has resumed his daily activities, but on the recommendation of the medical team, he will need about four weeks of recovery, during which time he will not be able to continue the tour.
The organizers will provide details regarding the affected concerts in the next period.
