The National Railway Company CFR SA announces, on Sunday evening, that, starting at 6:25 p.m., rail traffic on the Turceni – Filiaşi section (both lines of traffic) is temporarily stopped, due to the derailment over track 15/23 from the Turceni station the locomotive of a freight train, which belongs to the private railway freight transport operator Constantin Rail Logistic.

“The representatives of AGIFER and the intervention teams from Regional CF Craiova went to the scene. We make it clear that the railway staff of SRCF Craiova will provide technical support to the operator Constantin Rail Logistic in the process of putting the derailed locomotive back on the track”transmitted, on Sunday evening, CFR, writes Agerpres.
The company specifies that, for now, the circulation of two passenger trains (RE 2857 and RE 9927), which are temporarily stationed at Filiaşi station, is affected.
“Passengers of the RE 2857 train will be transported by car on the Filiaşi – Turceni – Târgu Jiu distance, and the RE 9927 train and the following passenger trains will be diverted on the Filiaşi – Cărbunești – Târgu Jiu route. The high-tonnage crane (125 tf) from the Craiova CF station was directed, in order to lift and putting the derailed locomotive back on the track“, the cited source also transmitted.
The railway accident will be investigated by an AGIFER commission, which will establish the causes of the derailment.
