The tasty comedy, “Brigada Nimic”, starts on Monday, May 20, on PRO TV and on VOYO. Arrow, Giovanni, Carmola and Toma are the four policemen who follow the small and insignificant cases, the hilarious encounters between mobsters, housewives, fake gurus, dealers, pensioners, corrupt politicians and confusing laws. In a humorous approach, “The Nothing Brigade” tries to do justice. The series will be on every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 20:30 on PRO TV and VOYO.
“Brigada Nimic”, the new comedy from PRO TV
Alexandru Papadopol (Giovanni), Irina Ștefan (Carmola), Iulian Postelnicu (Săgeata) and Nicu Banea (Toma) are the actors who give life to the characters in the Nothing Brigade. About the series, they say that it will definitely be a comedy that will make the viewers have fun.
“I hope people who watch us will love these twisted characters and have at least as much fun as we did filming. Even better they discover why they are called the Nothing Brigade (laughs)”, said Iulian Postelnicu, the one who is the Arrow in the Brigade.
Irina Ștefan, the actress who plays the only female presence in the Nothing Brigade, says that there are few similarities between her and Carmola: “The series focuses on the story of a police brigade, built ad hoc and made up of officers with very different personalities, with different levels of training, who try, with great difficulty, to solve a lot of cases. The Nothing Brigade is a funny roller coaster from which anyone can escape! Similarities between me and Carmola? We both know how to sweep and apostrophize someone who crosses the line. The rest I think are differences.“
About Giovanni, the character he plays, actor Alexandru Papadopol says that he tries to be charming, forgetting that he is of a respectable age, and his attempts to seduce generate humor: “I really like playing him and I have fun when he is put in all kinds of hilarious situations with his colleagues, and they are also people who ended up there (no: in the Nothing Brigade) because of all kinds of shortcomings and misunderstandings. Giovanni is brave, but also grandiose. He is envious but also generous and a good colleague. He tries to be charming, still forgetting that he is of a respectable age, as is the actor Papadopol who plays him. (laughs) Most of the time, the comic is born precisely from his attempts to seduce at any cost any woman who comes his way. We have a classic case of midlife crisis, treated with great humor by the screenwriters“.
Toma is the local policeman transferred to Bucharest after disturbing some politicians from his hometown. About the character, actor Nicu Banea says: “He is a “praetor” from Ancient Rome, who travels through time. Or it could be a policeman from the country. It remains to be seen. Brigada Nimic is a very entertaining project and I hope that this will also be transmitted to the viewers”.
