A passenger train hit a machine working near the railway. Major delay for travelers

Passenger train IR 1858, which departed from Piatra Neamţ to Bacău, recorded, on Saturday, a two and a half hour delay after a piece of equipment was hit by the railway track.

The accident happened around 09:51, between Roznov and Podoleni stations, at kilometer 43+300, where the train IR 1858 hit the tank of a machine in the gauge of the CF line.

According to CFR representatives, the machine was performing work on a road, in the railway area. As a result of the impact, there was only material damage to the machine and the locomotive, which had a damaged tank, according to news.ro.

Train IR 1858 had left Piatra Neamţ for Bacău and is a branch of train IR 1752, which runs between Suceava and Bucharest North.

At 12:21, the convoy parked in Podoleni at 12:21, with a delay of 143 minutes.
