Salvamontists from Brasov intervened on Saturday afternoon to help a person who was caught under two boulders, on the Pietrele Valley in the Bucegi Mountains. The mountain rescuers immobilized the victim and has made it safe.

Following an emergency call received by 112, a serious situation was reported in the Bucegi Mountains, where a woman was surprised by two boulders. Salvamont Brasov officials said that the injured person was part of a group of three people.
“The group was on the Stones Valley when two boulders broke off the wall and hit the victim”, Salvamont Brasov says.
Two lifeguards, who left the Mălăieşti area, managed to reach the wounded woman and immobilized her column by applying a cervical collar.

It was tried to extract the victim with the help of the helicopter, by lowering a mountain rescuer. Salvamontist Ciprian Lolu descended by trolls at the place of intervention, where, together with the rescuers on the ground, he immobilized the victim and made it safe.

The victim was transported to Brasov, where he will be taught to a medical crew and taken to the hospital for thorough investigations.
