Actress Shelley Duvall, known for her role in “The Shining/Strălucirea”, died on Thursday, July 11, at the age of 75, reports AFP, according to Agerpres.

The announcement of her death was made by Dan Gilroy, his partner since 1989. Gilroy told The Hollywood Reporter that she died in her sleep at her home in Blanco, Texas, in the southern US, of complications from diabetes.

She was married only once, to artist Bernard Sampson in 1970, and the marriage ended after four years.
