Adriana Bahmuțeanu learned from the press that Silviu Prigoană was buried: “The children don’t want to tell me whether or not they were at the funeral last night, in the cemetery”

Adriana Bahmuțeanu declared on Thursday that she is “in a state of shock” after learning from the media that Silviu Prigoană was buried in secret, and she was not called to the ceremony. She said she notified DGASPC and the Police that she did not know whose care two of her children were in.

Silviu Prigoană was secretly buried on Thursday. The announcement was made by his family.

“I received this statement from my colleagues in the press. I understand that it was sent to all the newsrooms in Romania. What can I tell you… I’m in shock. It hurts as much as the news that Silviu Prigoană died. OMG”said Adriana Bahmuțeanu in an intervention on Antena 3 CNN.

She says that she was not even contacted by her children, whom she has with Silviu Prigoană.

“Not. My half-brothers refuse any communication with me, moreover, they restrict my access to my own children. Today, I am the legal representative of the children, according to the laws in Romania, I am a single parent and I have absolute authority over them, but, unfortunately, the older brothers neither want to communicate with me nor allow the little ones to come to me, to be able to hold them in my arms, to be able to comfort them and to ease this pain together”Adriana Bahmuțeanu also said.

She stated that she was not even sent the press release.

“The children do not want to answer my question whether or not they were at the funeral last night, in the cemetery. It seems like a horror movie scenario to me anyway, but if that was the wish of the deceased we have to respect it. This is not what I want (no – to talk about), but about how children can process a labor of mourning, especially when a parent, a very close person, has died, and they are deprived of personal relationships with their mother.

My lawyer, Ionela Vasile, takes care of all the legal proceedings. Don’t ask me at this moment, because I don’t know how to explain these procedures, but I’m waiting for the Romanian state, from the guardianship court, to give me the right to be a parent”Bahmuțeanu also said.

She also stated that for 48 hours she has been unable to speak to her children, who “they have completely changed their attitude” towards her.

“They became cold, mean, accusing me of all kinds of things I didn’t do. I respected the legal procedures, in the sense that I was obliged to notify the DGASPC and the police that there were two minor children under the supervision of adults in the house of the deceased. I had no guarantee that my step-siblings were in the house or that other adults were in the house, and I had to do this legally to protect my children’s interests.”
