In the context in which traffic aggression has become a frequent phenomenon among drivers, the Ministry of the Interior informs that, starting from Sunday, October 27, the application is available where drivers can directly submit complaints, as well as evidence or clues that could lead to the identification of drivers who behaves aggressively in traffic, disturbing the other participants, informs News.ro.
“Preventing and combating violence in traffic is a priority field of action for the Romanian Police, which requires the concentration of institutional efforts, the identification and implementation of new working mechanisms, so that the victim is protected, and the aggressor or aggressors are held accountable. Starting from October 27, 2024, on the MAI application, hub.mai.gov.ro, in the ESAR section (reports of traffic violations), it will be possible to transmit information about aggressive behavior in driving vehicles on public roads“, the Romanian Police announced on Saturday.
What must the notification contain
According to MAI officials, the notification regarding aggressive behavior in traffic must contain the identification data of the person making the complaint (i.e. name, surname and personal numerical code or, as the case may be, the identification code, contact data, telephone number and mailing address ), a declaration on one’s own responsibility regarding the veracity of the transmitted data and the audio-video or video recording, the date, time, place or any other elements leading to the identification of the place where the possible contravention was caught, as well as the signature.
