Sociologist Alfred Bulai, head of the Department of Sociology within the School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA), allegedly asked some female students to undress in front of him, in practice, in the room where he was staying, where he called them to give them academic feedback, according to investigative website Snoop, which spoke to victims of the teacher’s abuse.
UPDATE The National School of Political and Administrative Studies has announced that it will take measures following the appearance of material targeting the sociologist Alfred Bulai.
“Immediately after the accusations appeared in the press, the SNSPA rector, prof. dr. Remus Pricopie, after consultation with the president of the SNSPA Senate, university prof. dr. Iordan Bărbulescu, and with the dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences, university professor dr. Cristian Pîrvulescu, self-reported and requested the Ethics Commission of SNSPA for an urgent and detailed analysis of the situation. The Commission will gather all necessary evidence and hear all parties involved to establish the facts and apply appropriate sanctions, if necessary.
Also, the rector of SNSPA requested the dean Cristian Pîrvulescu to convene, as an emergency, the Council of the Faculty of Political Sciences, to analyze the situation. The rector of SNSPA requested the withdrawal of Professor Alfred Bulai from the position of director of the Department of Sociology and the suspension of participation in teaching activities, during the analysis of the reported situation by the Ethics Commission. it is stated in a statement published on the institution’s website.

Professor and well-known political analyst Alfred Bulai, 61 years old, former vice-dean and secretary of state, believes – according to his statements to girls – that female students must be “sexy”to have courage “to expose his body”explaining to them how to behave like a man “to feel strong” and challenging them.
“If I tell you to undress, do you undress?,” the teacher is heard saying in a recording obtained by Snoop, the investigative website that features accounts from female students who do not know each other of nearly identical abuse, and which says that Bulai has perfected his technique during almost 30 years.
“I took my clothes off and he said: ‘And my panties'”
One of the victims, a former student at SNSPA, was 19 years old in 2014 when, according to her accounts, she ended up taking off her clothes in front of Alfred Bulai, then the vice-dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences.
“I was shaking and undressing”says Alexandra.
The former student says that in a previous discussion, the teacher had told her that she had “defects” and had insisted on “the fact that I’m not sure of myself and I need to work on that.”
“Are you more sure of yourself now? (…) I want to see that you trust yourself to undress”, the former student tells about what happened in the room.
“I was shaking, I was no longer coherent”
Alexandra also reports how Alfred Bulai switched to compliments: “What perky tits you have, gagico.”
The former student says the teacher asked her to go to him.
“I had never stood naked in front of someone before. And he said to me “Look how sexy you are, how can you not trust yourself”. And he put his hand on my tits (…) and on my ass. (…) I was shaking, I was no longer coherent“, the former student tells Snoop.
“There is no such requirement”
Professor Alfred Bulai denies that things would have been different.
“I am not aware of this matter. It is certain that he did not undress. There is no such requirement”said the well-known political analyst, according to the quoted source.
The accounts of Teodora, another victim, are equally disturbing, because the scenario was almost identical.
“The key to morality is not you being chaste (…), it’s what you do to help that (man) feel strong, feel strong,” Alfred Bulai told him, according to another recording obtained by Snoop.
Witnesses and victims claim that such situations were known.
“This is the first time I have heard the subject and I assure you that the SNSPA will act according to the law without flinching. Such things are not acceptable in an educational institution”commented the rector of SNSPA, Remus Pricopie, according to the investigation site
Unfortunately, situations of this kind are not limited to the facts of which Alfred Bulai is accused.
“It’s a clique of privileged people who cover each other and give you the feeling that they are intangible”, says Victoria a graduate.
An example of this, given by the girls with whom Snoop talked, is the case of Professor Stanciugelu, who reached the Ethics Commission in 2017.
A young woman who meditated with Stanciugelu for admission to SNSPA when she was 17 years old, told the quoted source how the teacher kissed her repeatedly, both at his home and in his car, according to Snoop.
Professor Stanciugelu was removed from the chair, but not from SNSPA.
