The president of the Cluj County Council, Alin Tișe, announced on Wednesday his candidacy for the leadership of the PNL, at the next congress of the party.
“I’m not running for office. I’m running to give the PNL the power to decide, build and govern.
Following the support of my liberal colleagues, I assume the candidacy for the position of president of the National Liberal Party, at the next Congress.
The PNL must once again become a party where its members matter, where those who win elections have a hard say and where decisions are made together.
PNL is heading in the wrong direction. And it’s time to put a stop to this!”, says a post by the liberal on Facebook.
Alin Tișe is an opponent of PNL leader Ilie Bolojan. Tişe established, in July, after the PNL Congress in which Ilie Bolojan was reconfirmed as president, a liberal-conservative platform.
