An expelled deputy from POT is about to blow Anamaria Gavrilă’s party. He called for the creation of a new parliamentary group

Deputy Răzvan Mirel Chiriţă announced on Monday, in the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies, the formation of a new parliamentary group, “United for Romania”, which includes 19 deputies from the Young People’s Party (POT).

“Based on the provisions of article 69 of the Constitution, article 15 paragraph (3) point 1 and article 20 paragraph (1) of the Regulation of the Chamber of Deputies, the undersigned Răzvan Mirel Chiriţă, group leader, inform you of the following: With a majority of votes, the members of the parliamentary group decided to change the name of the group. Thus, the group will carry out its activity under the name United for Romania”, stated Chiriţă, writes Agerpres.

According to him, the affiliation agreements to this group from the following deputies were submitted and approved by the majority of the members of the parliamentary group: Albu Dumitriţa, Csillag Andrei, Groza Călin, Piclişan Gheorghe, Simu Aurora Tasica.

“As a result of the decisions approved by the majority of the group members, we inform the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies (…) that the parliamentary group “United for Romania” is composed of 19 members. Group leader – the undersigned, vice-leaders – Grofu Daniel, Nicolae Dan Mihai, Simu Aurora Tasica, secretaries – Porumboiu Gabriela, Groza Călin Florin“, Chiriţă transmitted.

The information was previously sent to the Permanent Office of the Chamber of Deputies, which forwarded it to the Rules Committee.

The Young People’s Party reacted to this announcement.

“A former POT deputy, Răzvan-Mirel Chirițărequests the renaming of the Parliamentary Group without having this right, being excluded from the ranks of the party since December 10, 2025. In this context, POT requests the Permanent Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies to take note of the nullity of the documents submitted by deputy Răzvan-Mirel Chiriță regarding the change of the name of the Parliamentary Group as well as the accession of new members to this group”. announces POT on its Facebook page.

In 2023, Chiriță was sent to court by the DNA after, during the pandemic, the company to which he is an associate and administrator received contracts for the purchase of sanitary materials at overvalued prices from the Slatina City Hall.
