Andreea Raicu, incident in the parking lot of a supermarket in Bucharest: “It’s about how much we respect each other. That’s it”

“I came to the supermarket in the evening, specifically to find a parking space easier. It wasn’t like that. I did a few laps because I didn’t want to park next to illegally parked cars, so as not to block anyone, even though there was a whole line set up like that. When I returned to the car, a taxi had completely blocked me and stayed for several minutes without coming back. Luckily the car behind left and I was able to get out.” Andreea Raicu wrote on Facebook.

The star emphasized that her message goes beyond the simple situation in the parking lot and aims, in fact, to convey a call for mutual respect and responsibility.

“It’s not about parking lots or who’s right. It’s about how much we respect each other. That’s it. It doesn’t do us any good to endlessly criticize what’s wrong on the outside if we don’t take care of how we behave every day. This country will never change unless each of us starts taking responsibility for our small actions—with ourselves, with others, and with the places we live in.” added Andreea Raicu.

The post sparked numerous reactions from netizens, with many praising the star’s call to common sense.

“Nothing will change for the better in Romania, because the snobbery has become widespread”, wrote a fan.

“Yes, the exact same thing happened to me in the parking lot. I was in the parking lot for 30 minutes and I hardly got out after the car next to me left. It seems that some of our fellow citizens have lost their common sense.” someone else added.

“I live in the same neighborhood, right next to that supermarket, and I can say that this is how the situation is every evening. Cars stopped in the first lane due to breakdowns, general chaos. Those of us who live in the area have to go around the boulevard a few times to find a free place, including the paid ones (where we have a resident’s subscription),” another person commented.

“Only stinging fines are needed. Expecting respect is useless. Those who have it are educated for it from a young age”someone else said.
