Andrei Caramitru warns that a PSD-gold government is being prepared. Everything would only be possible with Nicușor Dan’s acceptance

Andrei Caramitru launches a new warning regarding the possible reconfigurations of power at the top of the Romanian politics. In a post published on Facebook, Caramitru claims that the formation of a new government consisting of PSD and gold is negotiated. A possible scenario with the acceptance of Nicușor Dan.

According to Andrei Caramitru, two major scenarios are taken within the ruling coalition

“The Social Democratic Party takes the gold and SOS Romania parliamentarians. And they can reach 30%, take the National Liberal Party a few. Until I get to the score necessary to make a government without USR. Then-PNL takes Ilie Bolojan and returns the PSD-PNL-UDMR model with the Prime Minister from the PSD. If Bolojan is not taken down – PSD comes out of the government and makes a majority with gold ” Caramitru wrote on Facebook.

He states that these political maneuvers could be implemented by the end of the year, in an effort to reposition the PSD in the center of the political decision, even if they are currently in coalition with PNL and UDMR.

“Most likely until December they want to do this. Possibly with the acceptance of Nicușor Dan (without how, it is discussed).” he explained.

“Serious blow to democracy”

“But the problem is serious. It is a direct attack on democracy, fixed as the scheme of Iohannis when the government voted by the world (PNL-UR) has been changed to PSD-PNL. This would be the second blow and it would cause hysteria in the population, I tell you honestly. Because it means that the parliamentary elections no longer matter, that you have no more. The former government counselor concluded.

Andrei Caramitru’s warning comes in a tense political context. The Aur Party has obtained a high score in the presidential elections, and PNL and PSD are in a period when the government they form with USR and UDMR is forced to announce increasingly unpopular measures.
