On Monday, June 16, during the Senate plenary, Daniel-Paul-Romeo Gheorghe announced that he has joined the PSD parliamentary group.
“I, Paul Gheorghe, senator chosen in the district 29, Neamţ County, I affiliated with the parliamentary group of the Social Democratic Party”, he said.
Daniel-Paul-Romeo Gheorghe is at his first mandate as a parliamentarian and was elected senator following the elections of 2024, when he applied on the Lists of SOS Romania.
In January 2025, he resigned from the party led by Diana Şoşoaca and until he joined the Social Democratic Party, he was an unaffected senator in the Commission for abuse research, combating corruption and petitions, according to the official website of the Senate of Romania.
