The National Authority for Consumer Protection informs the public opinion that, at the disposal of the president of the institution, Mr. Cristian Popescu Piedone, all mall-type commercial centers are obliged to urgently carry out deratization and disinsection actions, especially in the areas intended for public food (Food Court), where there have been many cases of insects.I ”, the ANPC representatives said on Tuesday.

The institution also stated that this measure comes from the numerous notifications received from consumers and controls made by ANPC commissioners, who have confirmed that there are hygiene problems in some commercial units, especially in the areas of food preparation and serving.

It is inadmissible that in a modern commercial space, where consumers are confident to spend their time and eat, to exist the presence of cockroaches or other pests. We no longer tolerate carelessness! Deratization and disinsection must become a rule, not an exception”, Said ANPC president Cristian Piedone.

ANPC mentions that it closely monitors the application of this measure and will continue the controls in all large shopping centers in the country, and operators who do not comply with hygiene and food safety obligations will be sanctioned, including suspending the activity.
