In the year 2025, Apple will release a new XR headset at a more pocket-friendly price.
According to sources cited by Bloomberg, the XR helmet will be released next year and will cost around $2,000. Although the price remains significant, Apple has made an obvious effort to reduce it by about $1,500, thus making the product more accessible to a wider audience.
To expand the mixed reality market, Apple has adopted a two-pronged strategy: a more affordable headset in 2025, followed by higher-performing and more sophisticated models in subsequent years. To achieve this goal, the company had to make some compromises on the materials and technical specifications of the first version. However, Apple continues to invest in research and development, with ambitious plans for the future, including a new version of Vision Pro, AirPods with advanced features and an innovative smart home device.
