Apple is preparing to reveal on Tuesday, September 9, during the annual product presentation event, a new iPhone model considered the thinnest ever made by the company. The event, promoted under the slogan “AWE-Dropping” (“amazing”), will be hosted at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Central Cupertino campus.

The new iPhone 17 range would include standard versions, Pro and Pro Max, but also a surprise: the iPhone Air model, described by analysts as the easiest flagship Apple so far, inspired by the Ultra-Subtile MacBook line. The company did not officially confirm these details, but did not reject the rumors, according to The Guardian.

Along with the new phones, Apple will also launch the Apple Watch 11 series, as well as an updated version of the AirPods headphones. It is speculated that Airpods will integrate the live translation function, bringing Apple into direct competition with Google, which introduced this technology on Pixel Buds several years ago. At the same time, the company could also announce the launch data for the new operating systems iOS 26 and Macos Tahoe.

However, the presentation is also accompanied by cost -related challenges, because the commercial tariffs imposed by the Trump administration risk affecting the global production chain, with an impact on the final prices. Although there were fears about an iPhone that could exceed the $ 2,000 threshold, CEO Tim Cook took preventive measures, relocating part of production in India and accelerating deliveries to the US.

Another sensitive point is related to artificial intelligence, after the “Apple Intelligence” package, launched in 2024, received mixed reactions, and the promised review of the assistant Siri has not been materialized.

Tim Cook recently said that Apple is doing “significant progress” in this direction and suggested that a new Siri version could be launched next year.

According to Bloomberg, the company would have discussed with Google to integrate the gemini AI models, which could fundamentally transform the experience of users.

Although Wall Street believes Apple stays behind other technology giants, especially Google, launch on September 9 could be the time the company regains its innovative position on the global market.
