Between May 16 and 26, the city of Craiova will be transformed into a huge stage, where theater enthusiasts will find installations, parades, improvisation shows and famous scenes from William Shakespeare's era at every turn.
This year, the festival will host over 300 cultural events, concerts, exhibitions and workshops and theater performances, which will be present in over 30 locations in the city.
Shakespeare Village will be the vibrant center of the festival, offering a diverse range of activities for all ages.
In 2024, the festival reinvents itself and opens a new vibrant chapter: “UNATC Fringe Festival – Shakespeare unleashes students”. Imagine 22 alternative spaces in Craiova transformed into effervescent scenes where the young artists from UNATC will show off their talent, reinterpreting Shakespeare's timeless works.
