Avangarde survey. Gold, almost as much as the big parties in one place. Most Romanians believe that Romania goes in the wrong direction

Most Romanians believe that Romania is heading in the wrong direction, reveals an avant-garde survey conducted on a sample of 1,300 adults between September 9 and 18, 2025. Also, gold leads to vote for parliamentary elections, with a score comparable to the total, PNL and USR.

In the mentioned survey, the Romanians were asked whether Romania is going in a good or wrong direction. 74% of the respondents said that the country goes in the wrong direction, 21% believe that the direction is good, and 5% could not express an opinion. The evolution over the last months shows a constant growth of pessimism: 53% in June, 66% in July, 73% in August and 74% in September.

Regarding the perception of the government, 51% are rather disappointed, 23% rather, 23% had no expectations, and 3% did not answer.

Gold leads the intention to vote in Romania

The survey shows that the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (gold) leads to the preferences of the Romanian voters. Of the respondents who expressed their political option, 41% said they would vote gold in the parliamentary elections, while the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the National Liberal Party (PNL) would be voted by 19%, respectively 13% of the respondents. The Union Save Romania (USR) obtains 12% of the voting intentions, while the Democratic Union of Hungarians (UDMR) is at 6%.

Other formations, such as SOS Romania and the Party of young people (can), cumulate only 4% of voters’ preferences, insufficient percentage to obtain parliamentary representation.

The main fears of Romanians for the following period are: a possible economic crisis – 28%, escalation of the war in Ukraine – 26%, children’s future – 19%, health problems – 12%, hatred in society – 10%, other fears – 2%, and 3%did not answer.

The survey was conducted by vanguards on the adult population (18+) not institutionalized, between 9 and 18 September 2025, on a sample of 1,300 people.
