Baccalaureate 2025, winter session. How students will be assessed
The assessment is done on three levels of competence: average user, advanced user and experienced user. The evaluation of the candidates is carried out by two examining teachers, who fill out an individual form with the score of each skill observed, according to a procedure sent by the Ministry of Education to the school inspectorates
If the two examiners give the same level, this is considered the final level. In the situation where the two examining teachers grant different levels, the level of language competence is determined as follows:
- if the first evaluating teacher evaluates the student as an average user, and the second teacher evaluates him as an advanced user, the level of language communication competence granted to the candidate will be that of an advanced user;
- if the first evaluating teacher evaluates the student as an average user, and the second teacher evaluates him as an experienced user, the level of linguistic communication competence granted to the candidate will be that of an advanced user;
- if the first teacher assessor assesses the student as an advanced user and the second teacher assesses him as an experienced user, the level of communication language competence awarded to the candidate will be that of an experienced user.
Exam tickets do not change and will not be made public
Candidates who receive an exam ticket cannot request to change it. It is not allowed to change the exam ticket, and candidates who refuse to answer the questions are considered to have failed the tests, states the official document for Baccalaureate 2025 skills.
Also, the exam tickets used will not be made public except those selected as models. “Exam tickets cannot become public, except for those selected by CNPEE in order to publish subject models”it is also mentioned in the document.
For candidates with visual impairments, hearing impairments or neurodevelopmental disorders, the procedure ensures a “level playing field”, including adapted exam tickets and, on request, an additional 10 minutes to prepare and support the answer.
Registrations for the Winter Baccalaureate for skills tests take place between December 16-20 when students have not yet graduated. Completion of high school studies is the condition for entering the baccalaureate for the summer written tests. The written tests will start on June 10, 2025, the earliest in the last 15 years.
