According to the latest polls, Cristian Popescu Piedone is the main counter-candidate of Nicușor Dan for the capital's mayor's office. Recently, the governing coalition announced that it supports Cătălin Cîrstoiu, the manager of the University Hospital, in the race for Bucharest.
After Marcel Ciolacu stated that he would not support Piedone, the mayor from Sector 5 said that he would not negotiate with PSD before the local elections.
Four candidates announced
Currently, announced in the race for the Capital City Hall are Nicușor Dan, Cristian Popescu Piedone, Cătălin Cîrstoiu (supported by PSD and PNL), but also Mihai Enache, the latter being the AUR representative for the June 9 elections.
