Jeff Bezos, the second richest man in the world, and his girlfriend will get married this week in Aspen, Colorado (USA) revealed the DailyMail, which published the details of the event, whose expenses were estimated at 600 million dollars .
The 60-year-old Amazon founder and his fiancee Lauren Sanchez, a former TV news anchor, 55, have rented an upscale Matsuhisa sushi restaurant in the famed Colorado ski resort for Thursday and Friday and have planned their wedding, which will take place nearby on Saturday.
The pair have kept the big day a secret since he proposed aboard his $500 million superyacht in May 2023.
Three sources told DailyMail.com that Bezos’ wedding will take place on December 28.
The Amazon founder and his entourage reportedly arrived by private plane at the city’s airport on Saturday. The rumor around town – as yet unconfirmed – is that Bezos will hold the ceremony at Dunbar, Kevin Costner’s 160-acre ranch.
A DailyMail source also revealed the staggering cost of the event: $600 million.
Strict confidentiality agreements
In November, Lauren Sánchez revealed on the Today Show that she bought her wedding dress. So far, however, no precise plans have been made public.
Guests are set to arrive at Aspen’s finest accommodations, including area mansions and the five-star St Regis hotel, after Christmas Day, another source told the publication.
Luxury wedding planners in Aspen told DailyMail.com that the secrecy surrounding the event was likely aided by strict non-disclosure agreements.
