Shiloh, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, filed an application to change her last name, removing her father's name.

On May 27, when she turned 18, the fourth of the former couple's six children filed a petition in a Los Angeles court to remove “Pitt” from the surname Jolie-Pitt and to be known as Shiloh Nouvel Jolie. A close source told E! News on June 2 that Shiloh has hired her own lawyer to handle the case, writes eonline.com.
A week after Shiloh said she wanted to drop the name “Pitt”, a source close to the actor told reporters that the father of six is ”aware of this situation and upset” by his daughter's decision.
“He knows about it and he is upset that Shiloh quit to his last name. He had never felt more joy than when she was born. She always wanted a daughter”says the source.
She is not the first of the actors' six children to drop his father's last name. Her sister Zahara, 19, entered a sorority at Spelman College last November, where she introduced herself as Zahara Marley Jolie during the initiation ceremony.
Additionally, multiple outlets reported last month that Angelina and Brad's younger daughter Vivienne's name is credited as “Vivienne Jolie” in the poster notebook for the new Broadway musical The Outsiders, which the 15-year-old ani helped her produce it with her mother.
Angelina – who also shares sons Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Vivienne's twin Knox with Brad – added Pitt to her surname herself after their 2014 marriage.
In 2019, more than two years after she filed for divorce from the Fight Club actor, she reverted to the last name Jolie when a judge signed a bifurcated ruling declaring the two legally single.
The two have continued to fight over custody of their minor children and are also embroiled in a separate dispute over their French winery Château Miraval.
In a court document filed April 4 by Angelina in connection with the latter case, she claimed that Brad had been physically abusive to her prior to an incident in September 2016 during a trip on the family's private jet in who accused him of correcting his “physical and child abuse” for the first time.
While Angelina and Brad mostly kept their kids out of the limelight when they were younger, in recent years the kids have occasionally joined their mom at celebrity events.
