An American vlogger based in Bucharest set out to show his compatriots, but also other foreigners, the beauties of the Romanian capital. And he succeeded, as evidenced by the comments on the clip posted on You Tube.

The American proposed to film Bucharest in the evening, and in the clip posted on his YouTube account he presented images from the city center. He filmed in the old center, but he did not bypass the old communist blocks either. In the end, the clip almost had almost 70,000 views, but also about 3,100 likes.
At one point, after crossing one of the most beautiful fairies of the city, the American was delighted with what he saw. “Very beautiful architecture. Old and new. Do you see this? Old communist blocks“, he was impressed. All along the way, he was accompanied by his wife.
The reactions of those who watched the clip, mostly foreigners, showed that he had achieved his goal.
“The statues are clean. The streets are clean. No tramp is left to rot on the pavement. People look healthy and happy. I hope they keep it that way”, someone commented.
“I can’t believe how clean the streets are. The quality of life is palpable… And the women are gorgeous. I love that so many of them are still wearing dresses. This is definitely a sign of a healthy society, the fact that people live in reality is tangible. We are so deformed in the USA… I already have my passport, Romania is on my list”, another American added.
“Brother, Romania seems like a hidden gem. Wonderful! You and your lady make a beautiful couple!”someone wrote.
Someone else compared Bucharest to London from a few decades ago. This despite the fact that the capital of Romania was known in the interwar period as “Little Paris”. “Bucharest looks like London 40 years ago! Before the immigrants came flooding in by the millions. London is now less than 45% British! We were literally moved out of our own capital and replaced by over 100 different nationalities. This place seems pretty good to me, I think I will visit Romania very soon!“, wrote an Englishman.
“I knew it was the other way around”
Among those who showed their admiration was a Belgian, who claims that Romania and Eastern Europe have a negative image, unfairly, in his country. “I live in Belgium and they (=Propaganda-Media) always told us that Eastern Europe is a bad place to live… But I knew it was the other way around”he said.
“Great architecture, really clean streets, chill vibes and lots of beautiful women. Thanks for sharing these, Bo“, wrote another.
Another netizen was impressed by the people: “If you look, people are still holding hands. Great videos bro.”
“I’m amazed at how beautiful it is. Parts of the city legitimately look like a work of art”someone pointed out.
Another netizen posted a slightly longer but equally positive comment. “Liberation, revenge and tenderness: fighting its own crazy past, never aggressive but always passionate and unforgiving, a fortress of Christianity and Latinity at the crossroads of three marauding empires, Bucharest is an amazing state of mind, more than a city.“
And other foreigners decided to discover Romania, in their future travels, after seeing the clip posted by the American. “Romania will definitely be one of the discovery trips I make. I’m looking for 3-4 different countries to spend time in throughout the year.”
“Looks Like Heaven, Bro”
Someone else noted that many Romanians who left the country because of the poor conditions and the lack of any prospects now end up returning home. “It’s funny how many quality Romanians who left Romania in the 80s and 90s return home after living in the West for a long time.”
“Romania and Poland are developing slowly and offer their citizens an excellent economic lifestyle, with Poland doing much better”someone commented. “The individual consumption per capita is at 89% of the EU average for Romania and 86% for Poland, I wouldn’t say that Poland is doing better now”, contradicted another.
“This video was so beautiful. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but the buildings and alleyways you showed me surprised and delighted me”, was another comment. “Eastern Europe is clean, safe and original, normal“, was another opinion. “Thank you for sharing the beauty of Bucharest with me and everyone here. Looks like Heaven bro” and “I don’t see trash on the streets like here in the United States. I see people are proud they don’t do that. I definitely want to visit Romania. It looks beautiful. Thanks for the video, it’s awesome”, were just a few of the thousands of laudatory comments.
