Stelian Bujduveanu claimed, on Wednesday, that he learned from the press about the decision of the general mayor of Bucharest, Nicușor Dan, regarding the withdrawal of his main duties as vice mayor of the capital. The liberal categorized the gesture as a politician, stating that it lacks any kind of objective.

“I learned from the press, right during the launch event of the joint PNL-PSD candidate for PMB, that my duties as deputy mayor general were withdrawn. A politician's gesture through which Nicușor Dan tried to overshadow an important event for the people of Bucharest and for Bucharest”. wrote Stelian Bujduveanu on his Facebook page.
The vice mayor said that Nicușor Dan's decision is political and claims that he did the same as the mayor of sector 1.
“The decision he made is devoid of any kind of objective, a politician's decision as Clotilde Armand also did when he withdrew the duties of the PNL deputy mayor from sector 1. I do not need duties to carry out my chosen activity in within the General Council of the Municipality of Bucharest. As deputy mayor general, I assure you that I will not stop working for and in the service of the people of Bucharest. Until the end of the term, I will continue, as you know me, dedicated to the important projects that I started in this term and that I will complete in the next term”. Bujduveanu claimed.
Liberal Stelian Bujduveanu listed a series of projects he implemented, mentioning the Coalition's decision to support the doctor Cătălin Cîrstoiu for the June 9 elections, at the Capital City Hall.
“I believe that I coordinated and implemented important projects such as the renewal of the STB fleet, measures to streamline traffic, the creation of single lanes for public transport, the single ticket for STB, Metrorex and CFR, the parking strategy, the enrollment of the Capital City Hall in the Ghișeul.ro platform, the transparency the heritage of the city of Bucharest and many other solutions for the citizens of Bucharest.
We move forward with the PNL-PSD candidate, Cătălin Cîrstoiu, at the Capital City Hall and continue all the good projects for the people of Bucharest”. concluded Bujduveanu.
The General Mayor of the Capital, Nicuşor Dan, on Wednesday withdrew the main executive powers from the Deputy Mayor Stelian Bujduveanu (PNL).
Nicusor Dan, stated that the decision was not a revenge, and that it was taken because he is part of a majority hostile to him, claiming that the liberal would have said that “he also understands that everything is fine”.
“I called him today, but he was in this big conference with the candidate announcement, but we exchanged some messages. I told him it was nothing personal and he gave me a like or a monkey of it, from the phone, telling me that he knows, that he understands and that everything is fine.(…) Let's call them emoticons”, said Nicușor Dan.
PNL Bucharest reacted and conveyed that the general mayor of the Capital has left the position of independent and entered the role of the politician with party interests.
