Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu asked the Minister of Labor and the president of the Pension House to send a new document to the pensioners who received recalculation decisions with low incomes informing them that no pension will decrease.

The Prime Minister’s reaction comes after the wave of dissatisfaction among pensioners, who are outraged after receiving the new decisions to recalculate their pensions.

This is because they discovered significant decreases in the amount of the pension or errors in their calculation.

“I want to start by asking the Minister of Labor and the president of the Pension House to send, by the end of the week, information related to the stage of the pension recalculation process. How many decisions have already reached pensioners, what is the percentage of appeals and how is the procedure for restoring recalculation decisions where errors are found. I want all pensioners to be sent an official document in the coming days informing them that whatever the calculation related to contribution, their pension does not decrease! Romanians must have the guarantee that no pension is deducted and any mistake can be corrected! 3.8 million pensions increase, i.e. 83% of the total, this is a certain fact”said Marcel Ciolacu at the beginning of the government meeting.
