PNL Mayor of Sector 6, Ciprian Ciucu, said, asked about a possible entrance of Gabriele Firea in the battle for the City Hall, that “it would be fun”, considering that the PSD could try to throw all kinds of names to protect the “real” candidate, according to News.ro.
Asked, on Monday evening, on B1 TV, about the version carried inside the PSD that Gabriela Firea would be tested in the party’s internal polls and that it could be the PSD candidate at the Capital City Hall, Ciprian Ciucu said that
“There are few mayors who have been in the mandate and have recovered. I refer to the municipalities and big cities. A single example comes to my mind, Mr. Scripcaru from Brasov. He returned to his work, but also supported by a coalition. Mrs. Firea is now in the European Parliament. said Ciprian Ciucu.
PSD could throw names on the market to protect the real candidate
At the same time, the Liberal Ciucu believes that it is possible for the PSD to try to protect the “real” candidate of the party in the Bucharest elections and that for this reason the Social Democrats throw various names on the market.
“I would not go after Fente with Mrs. Firea’s candidacy. PSD may try to protect the real candidate,” said Ciucu.
Asked if the PSD is expected to designate a candidate from the party or from outside, Ciprian Ciucu replied: “Most likely from Mr. Grindeanu’s team.”
