The first vice-president of the PNL Ciprian Ciucu declared that the PNL is not to blame for the situation in which it has reached, with an interim government that cannot make many decisions, Sorin Grindeanu, the president of the PSD, being “the mastermind of the coup that brought down the government”.
“We don’t have calculations. We did not bring the country to the situation of not being governed by a government with full powers“, said Ciprian Ciucu, on Sunday evening, at Digi 24, News writes.
According to him, the political crisis must be resolved by the president Nicusor Dan and the PSD leader, Sorin Grindeanu, “the one who brought down this government”: “The two of them must meet, first of all, to offer Mr. Nicusor Dan to Sorin Grindeanu the opportunity to form the government. The two are the main actors at the moment”.
The first vice-president of the PNL states that it is very good that the president mediates: “Nicusor Dan is the president of Romania, and he mediates very well, it is excellent that he does this”.
Ciucu added that the solution must be offered by the president Dan and Sorin Grindeanu “the artisan of the coup by which they overthrew the government”.
The Bolojan government was dismissed by a censure motion initiated by PSD and AUR and voted by 281 parliamentarians.
