The president of the PNL, Nicolae Ciucă, declared on Tuesday, regarding the case of the former general of the SRI Florian Coldea, that those who made a mistake must answer and that the institution did its duty towards the country.

Present in Arad for a meeting with PNL members from the county, Nicolae Ciucă was asked by journalists if the image of the SRI and trust in the institution were affected due to the media coverage of the Florian Coldea case, he pointed out that this case “it has an impact primarily on people“.
“It is a matter that, of course, has an impact primarily on individuals and the institution, as we all know – and every time there have been assessments and including people's perception – it has done nothing but do its duty to the country . Because some have made a mistake, they must answer for their actions“, said the PNL president, according to Agerpres.
And Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, the PSD president, reacted, on Saturday, regarding the case of the two former SRI generals Florian Coldea and Dumitru Dumbravă, stating that during his mandate as Prime Minister, the Judiciary works again “the main party of the penal became USR”.
“I'm glad that during my time as Prime Minister, Justice is functioning and I was even noticing that I couldn't see the traffic lights at night anymore, they can be called (at hearings – no) at lunch, man, political color is not taken into account. It is true, I see a party, USR, those with Piaţa Victoriei, with 'DNA' and with 'vote DNA', they all say that it is a political involvement. I don't really understand how the politician could get involved in the act of justice, after all the measures taken. It is true, it can be seen that the PSD has completely detached itself from this phenomenon and that the main party of the penal has become the USR”said Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.
Florian Coldea, former first deputy director of the SRI, was placed under judicial control, as were former SRI general Dumitru Dumbravă and lawyer Doru Trăila.
