According to him, the last few days have shown that Vladimir Putin’s army “does not have the ability to protect the territory, and the president has problems running the country.”

But regardless of what the Ukrainian military leadership hopes to achieve with this offensive, the past few days have shown us three important things:
1. Vladimir Putin’s army does not have the ability to protect the territory, and the president has problems running the country. Ukrainian forces are advancing inside Russian territory, and the Russian army, beyond its proven weaknesses, cannot give a commensurate response. This in itself is a blow to the image of Russia, but especially to the morale of the army and the confidence of the population in the current leadership.
2. Ukrainian military planning structures and secret services achieved a remarkable feat during these times: to design and implement such an offensive without any information or intent being disclosed.
