The newspaper Cristian Tudor Popescu stated that he represents “a major security risk for Romania” if Bolojan was no longer president of Romania.

I know that Mr. Ilie Bolojan does not step on his word and respects his signature. But I cannot help but think about the absurdity of the situation in which Mr. Bolojan will leave Cotroceni to be replaced by any of these candidates for the presidency. Good for Romania it would be for Mr. Bolojan to remain president 5 years. Or, the one who will become the president, to support him for the position of prime minister.

During this fierce period, it seems to me a major security risk of not having Ilie Bolojan President of Romania or Premier ”said CTP.

Asked if he would run, in the context in which Elena Lasconi stated that she was willing to give up the candidacy to support Bolojan at the presidential elections, the interim president reminded Thursday that the governing coalition at Crin Antonescu.
