Cristian Tudor Popescu launched a scenario regarding the current situation in Romania, after the cancellation of the presidential elections. According to the journalist, the current moment is the perfect setting for a coup.

“Russia knows how to do it. According to the EU and NATO, a Russian attack took place in Romania. If SIE was in Abu Dhabi at Formula 1, not even the CIA could prevent him. Measures are being taken in Europe so that the Romanian scenario does not repeat itself”, Cristian Tudor Popescu pointed out in a post on Facebook.
The journalist continued: “but did anyone say that Russia’s hybrid attack against Romania has stopped? Because that’s what it’s called, a hybrid, it can be worn with all kinds of means. Let’s say that only its first stage is underway: the undermining to the point of total compromise of the main democratic institutions, the Presidency, Parliament, Government, Constitutional Court, the galloping and serious deterioration of the economic-financial situation of the country, the dissolution of the authority, suffering and social hatred, Fascist neo-Czeausianism, failed state”.
“This is the perfect framework to launch the second stage: a coup d’état with the competition of militarized structures. How about an onslaught of Romania’s “saviors” in the parliament and in the government, unstoppable by anyone, like at the Capitol on January 6, 2021? In December 1989, Russia used the Revolution against Ceaușescu to install its man in the Presidency of Romania. Why wouldn’t they do it in 2024?”the journalist also transmitted.
