Journalist Cristian Tudor Popescu analyzed in his own way the launch event at the Capital City Hall of the PSD-PNL candidate Cătălin Cîrstoiu.

In a post on his Facebook page, journalist Cristian Tudor Popescu analyzed the press conference for the launch of doctor Cîrstoiu at the Capital City Hall. CTP believes that Ciolacu achieved a great victory by “relieving” Gabriela Firea.
“The press conference for the launch of Dr. Cîrstoiu to the Capital's mayor's office has already registered a great victory: M. Ciolacu managed to put the reptile G. Firea in his shoes. Apart from the people from Bucharest who made it easier in 2020, M. Ciolacu is the first to achieve this. The redoubtable L. Dragnea broke his fangs in her scales – from prison, he let “with the tongue of death” that G. Firea be the PSD presidential candidate. Now, M. Ciolacu didn't even leave it at the town hall. It is the first reason that led to Cîrstoiu's invention of the last hundred. But the real degree of incompatibility between PSD and PNL voters also mattered (that the bosses get along perfectly)”writes the journalist.
He praised the performance of the PSD-PNL coalition candidate, who he says has very good communication skills.
“C. Cîrstoiu presented himself quite well at his first appearance. He speaks coherently, with a target, he has words, he looks like a man who knows what he wants. Whether it can, remains to be seen. What I didn't like is the excessive self-laughing. And the loving hand on Ciucă, on Negoiță, didn't reach Ciolacu. And the repeated approving nod, while the journalists had not had time to formulate the question. The parallel with his personal cancer, from which he managed to cure himself, as an argument that he will also cure the cancerous Bucharest, seemed to me to be in bad taste, but it may catch on with the public.
It is also obvious what Ciolacu passionately said: Mr. Cîrstoiu has much wider possibilities of expression and communication with high-level Romanian and European personalities. P. Piedone speaks with the understanding of the citizens of Bucharest with poor education, even poorer vocabulary, vulgarity, gross selfishness – he is betting on the troglodytes, swindlers and fools of the Capital. M. Ciolacu asked rhetorically: who will Piedone come to the town hall with? Simple, with whom he also came to sectors 4 and 5, that is, his extended family, headed by his son, pretenders, “smart guys”, underlings sadea. In this chapter, I think the Firea-Pandele clan also beats”CTP also writes.
The journalist believes, however, that doctor Cîrstoiu could have some problems even on the part of Voiculescu's television, which will be made available to Piedone.
“The candidate Cîrstoiu, apart from making himself known in a short time, has some other problems. Both Firea and Burduja, his campaign chiefs (maximum humiliation for Firea, who sat on the chair in line, with a watchful face), have no interest in domdoctor winning, so that they can complain after defeat : “See, you didn't want us!…”.
There's also Antena 3. Now that Firea is out of the game, Voiculescu's television is focusing on supporting Piedone. They have no ambition if they don't also arrange an interview on CNN, in the show “Animals of the world”. C Cîrstoiu can at most hope for a neutral attitude towards his person, but “spontaneous” attacks by A3 propaganda are also likely. And aggressive manipulations by what it says on the screen.
Anyway, we will see after these elections if Bucharest deserves the name Tâmpitopole, as its godfather, Caragiale, baptized it…”CTP concludes its editorial.
