Dan Capatos, the well -known TV producer of the show “A sinful show” from Antena Stars, announced that he will take a break of about two and a half months because of health problems, informs Antena 1. It is the first time, in 18 years of uninterrupted career, when the presenter completely withdraws from the broadcast.
Operation on vocal cords and total vocal rest
In April, Dan Capatos confessed live, in the show, that he was diagnosed with a polyp on one of the vocal cords. The condition requires surgery followed by a period of voice recovery.
“It is a routine intervention from the point of view of the surgeons, there is nothing extraordinary to bring panic. Only the rest is a specific one: two weeks is total rest, two weeks with some speech therapy exercises, incompatible with the presentation of a show”, Explained Capatos.
Who replaces it at Antena Stars
During his absence, the show “A sinful show” will continue with other presenters. Mara Bănică and Silviu Andrei will take over the leadership of the show until the return of Dan Capatos, scheduled for September 1, 2025, two weeks after the beginning of the new season.
The return of the show to the grid
The show “A sinful show” returned to the grid of Antenna Stars in August 2024, after a break of over seven years, during which time it was broadcast under the name “Xtra Night Show”. The decision of the reintroduction under the old title was greeted with enthusiasm by the loyal audience, and Capatos resumed his role as presenter until the announced medical break.
