“Things are this way: I see this Aur Party’s step as a democratic approach, it is also an opportunity to seriously discuss the problems of education. It is a simple motion, it does not involve my resignation or dismissal, but for me it is important that this motion does not pass, because this shows that we have a pro-European coalition that is behind a government program.”
Asked if he will maintain his position in case of adoption of the motion, Daniel David said:
“I am a man for whom honor is an important thing, it is a key value, what I said remains standing. If the motion passes, it does not make sense to remain minister. For me, the truth is more important than my position. For me, honor is more important than my position.”
The minister stressed that, despite the political tensions, salaries and scholarships are insured, and the Government can plan education reforms starting next year.
