* The good news came from Serie A, where Dennis Man has had a perfect start to the season. After scoring against Fiorentina in the first leg, on Saturday, the international also scored in Parma’s win against AC Milan. His developments have been praised by the Italian press, which compares Dennis with Adrian Mutu, the Romanian with the greatest successes in the Peninsula championship. And Valentin Mihăilă had good performances, so Mircea Lucescu has reason to be grateful.
* Florinel Coman, transferred this summer from FCSB to Al Gharafa, in exchange for 5.25 million euros, scored two goals for his new formation in the victory with Al Rayyan, score 2-1. It was the match of release for the Romanian international, who had ticked off four official games and two friendlies for the Qatari team without conceding a goal. Against Al Rayyan, Florinel Coman started and was chosen man of the match.
Horațiu Moldovan, on loan at Sassuolo
* Horațiu Moldovan escaped the nightmare of Atletico Madrid, where he was not taken into account by coach Diego Siemone. Having not logged a single minute for the Spanish side since January, the goalkeeper is getting a chance to play after being loaned out to Sassuolo in the Italian Serie B.
* George Pușcaș, the striker on the preliminary list of foreigners summoned by Lucescu for the first games in the Nations League, also scored for his new formation. Permanently transferred from Genoa to Bodrumspor, in Turkey, Pușcaș contributed to the 3-1 victory of the newly promoted side over Konyaspor, scoring his team’s 2nd goal.
* On the other hand, Ionuț Nedelcearu had a nightmare evening, scoring an own goal in the game Palermo lost away from Pisa (0-2). He then suffered a serious injury to his face and was rushed to hospital. Surgery is being considered, so his presence at the national team is unlikely.
Radu Drăgușin, reserve at Tottenham
* In England, Radu Drăgușin did not make the team at Tottenham for the second stage in a row. Although he was taken off by the coach in the warm-up, the tricolor was sent back to the bench, where he remained until the end in the 4-0 victory over Everton. Manager Ange Postecoglou explained that the Romanian will have a chance to play only next month, when Spurs will also be engaged in other competitions: the Europa League and the FA Cup.
* The situation of Florin Niță, Romania’s Euro 2024 starter, was also clarified yesterday. Released from his contract in May, he signed with the Arabs from Damac, where he will have Nicușor Stanciu as his teammate and Cosmin Contra as his coach. The goalkeeper of the national team will earn 1.6 million euros during the two years of the contract with the Saudi group.
