Dinamo, a football team qualified for the play-offs with two rounds left to play in the regular season, today presented the international George Pușcaș, who came to the Super League to relaunch his career at 29 years old.
The striker born in Oradea is on his first experience in the Romanian football Superleague. He will wear number 47, the birth year of rival Steaua.
Holder during the mandate of Edy Iordănescu, Pușcaș lost his starting position after the arrival of Mircea Lucescu to the national team, being overtaken by Bîrligea, Drăguș and Alibec.
Pușcaș, who is not physically prepared to enter the first 11, comes to Dinamo to strengthen the offensive zone, where the “dogs” have no top job.
Both Mamadou Karamoko and Alexandru Pop are not forwards at the base, and Pușcaș is seen as the footballer who can make the difference in the play-offs.
Pušcaș will earn around 20,000 euros per month. He hasn’t played in 8 1/2 months. His last appearance dates from June 1, 2025, when he wore the shirt of Bodrumspor.
He is quoted by the specialized website Transfermarkt at 900,000 euros.
Pușcaș’s name appeared in the Nordis scandal. The top attacker would have invested the sum of 1.3 million euros in the controversial real estate project.
