CFR Călători announces the resumption of the “Sun Trains” summer program on Friday night, June 14/15. Thus, tourists to the coast will have 30 trains available daily that will provide daily direct connections from all over the country with the resorts on the Black Sea and the Danube Delta, until September 7/8, 2024.

The company announces that all regions of the country will be connected to the Romanian coast this summer and that there are 30 direct trains, plus the possibility of fast connections from Bucharest North, through trains that run almost hourly on the route Bucharest North – Constanța and back .
Thus, for three months, tourists can choose to reach the Black Sea resorts either directly, from Arad, Deva, Timișoara Nord, Reșita Nord, Oradea, Satu Mare, Baia Mare, Cluj Napoca, Târgu Mureș, Brașov, Suceava, Iasi, Galați, Buzău, or with a stop in Bucharest, as follows:
* 30 direct trains (15 outward/15 return, including related branches), of which 14 trains (7 outward/7 return) have Mangalia as their destination/departure.
* 36 trains (18 outbound/18 outbound) will connect the capital with the coast and return: 15 outbound/outbound from Bucharest North (of which 9 also pass through Bucharest Băneasa), 2 outbound/outbound only from Bucharest Băneasa and one outbound/ returned from Bucharest Obor.
For the trip to the Danube Delta, from June 15, 2024, trains IR 1981/ R 8653 and R 8656/ IR 1982 will provide a daily direct connection between Bucharest Nord and Tulcea Oraș and return throughout the season.
Also, in Medgidia, the daily connection to Tulcea Oraș and return by trains from the Capital or Constanța will be ensured.
We remind you that all summer InterRegio trains have air-conditioned class carriages, equipped with electrical sockets for charging the laptop or mobile phone battery, ecological toilets, semi-automatic access and intermediate doors, states CFR Călători.
According to CFR, the journey time on the Bucharest-Constanța route is, on average, about 2 hours and 20 minutes.
For the services included in the special summer program, all the travel facilities granted by the normative acts in force are valid, so those who choose to go by train can benefit from discounts such as: 10% discount on the transport fare when buying a ticket with the one-way offer returned; a discount of up to 10% of the transport fare when purchased in advance, 25% when purchased with the TrenPlus card. Pupils benefit from free travel, and students from a 90% discount on travel in 2nd class carriages.
During the summer transport program, on the Constanţa-Mangalia section, tourists on the Romanian coast have the opportunity to travel between the resorts on the coast with the Regio trains provided by CFR Călători.
Also, the trains that travel long distances and come from large cities of the country (departing from Arad, Oradea, Timisoara, Satu Mare, Târgu Mureş, Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu, Resita, Suceava, Iasi, Craiova, Bucharest, etc.) provides direct connection with the coastal resorts, up to Mangalia.
