Novak Djokovic (37 years old, 1 ATP) was among the collateral victims of the COVID-19 pandemic.

What happened to him, in the period 2021-2022, will remain in the black history of mankind. Then we labeled one of the greatest athletes in history, a benchmark of health, as a “public health hazard.” Under this pretext, the Serb will “stealing” the chance to play in several tournaments and was introduced to the world as “antivaccinist“. The aberration was so great that even the BBC reported and showed, with arguments, that Djokovic had nothing, ever, against traditional vaccines. However, he opposed the anti-COVID vaccination by force, under the threat of exclusion from social life.
In the meantime, the pandemic dementia is over, but now there has been an attempt, once again, to discredit Djokovic. This time, under the pretext that he will refuse the operation, after he was diagnosed with a torn meniscus at the French Open. The condition forced the Serbian to withdraw from the tournament, before the match he was supposed to play, yesterday, in the quarters, with Casper Ruud (7 ATP). Moreover, starting from Monday, Nole will also lose the head of the world ranking, the Italian Jannik Sinner (22 years old, 2 ATP) will move to the first place.
Will sacrifice Wimbledon for 2024 Olympics
Returning to Djokovic, it was speculated, in a first phase, that being a “enemy” of science, of traditional medicine, in general, it will avoid the necessary surgery after meniscus tear. Furthermore, it was said that the Serb will turn to alternative medicine and go to the famous Marijana Kovacevici (many Romanian athletes have been to her over the years) to get back on his feet.
Unlike the smear campaign that lasted a year and a half against Nole in the pandemic, this time, this aberrant idea of ”lived“just a few hours. Because Djokovic announced that he will have surgery, the surgery taking place last night in Paris. According to Eurosport, Nole was at the Ramsay Sante clinic and was treated by some of the best doctors in the world.
From now on, Novak will begin a hellish attempt to recover for the Olympic Games in Paris (July 26 – August 11). The minimum recovery period after a meniscus operation is three weeks. As a result, Nole will skip Wimbledon (July 1-14), as will Spain's Rafael Nadal. Both athletes aim to play at the 2024 Olympics, at any cost!
If Nadal already has two Olympic gold medals in his record, on the other hand, for Djokovic, the achievement of winning the Olympic gold is the only one missing from his stellar resume, at the moment. Although he participated in four editions of the Olympic Games (2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020), the Serbian reached the podium only once, winning bronze at Beijing 2008, in singles. That's why Djokovic wants to be present now, in Paris, in what will surely be his last chance to bring home a gold for Serbia.
He will go to Marijana, but for recovery
After leaving himself in the hands of the doctors, to the disappointment of those who spread a gross lie, Nole will, however, also go to Marijana Kovacevici in Belgrade. However, it will not resort to this option, to the detriment of the normal operation, but to follow the recovery process there.
According to Eurosport, which cited Serbian media, Marijana has already boasted that she will get Nole back on his feet in record time. “When the player arrives, he meets with the best diagnostician in the country, an initial scan is done and the extent of the injury is determined. We estimate exactly how many hours the restoration will take. Therapies are so powerful that one hour of therapy replaces a week of treatment with any other method in the world. So if they say Djokovic needs to rest for a month, I will solve his problem in four hours“, said Marijana Kovacevici.
Despite this enthusiasm shown by the man who has worked with big names in world sports, such as Stephen Gerrard, Frank Lampard or Vincent Kompany, it is very difficult to believe that Djokovic will fully recover in a few hours. Besides, he doesn't intend to risk it either, compounding his problem. Which is why, according to “L'Equipe”, he has already made up his mind about Wimbledon 2024, where he had to defend 1,200 ATP points for the final lost last year to Carlos Alcaraz.
