Dorian Popa appeared on Monday, January 19, at the Bucharest Court of Appeal, where the appeal is being heard in the case in which he is accused of driving under the influence of prohibited substances, after he was found driving with traces of cannabis in his body.
The influencer came to the court accompanied by bodyguards and with bandaged nose.
During the hearings, Dorian Popa burst into tears when he was asked about the moment he was stopped by the police, according to Digi24.
The influencer claimed the incident was “an isolated episode” and confessed that he had disappointed his family, especially his mother, stating that he regretted what had happened.
In the first instance, Dorian Popa received an 8-month prison sentence, with a suspended sentence.
We remind you that Dorian Popa received, at the end of 2024, an 8-month suspended prison sentence in the open file after, in 2023, he was found driving under the influence of drugs. The prosecutor’s office attached to the Cornetu Court, however, appealed the decision in court. His appeal is heard at the Bucharest Court of Appeal.
After the Monday, January 19 deadline, the court set a new appearance for February 18.
Dorian Popa recently underwent a complex nose surgery that lasted more than 6 hours. The artist explained on social media what serious problem the doctors discovered and why the operation could no longer be postponed.
Asked by Click! if the operation had to be done right now, Dorian Popa confirmed that the intervention could not be delayed any longer.
“Yes… the spine was missing from my nose… the spine supports the septum!”, he explained.
Later, in a long message posted on TikTok, the star told in detail what the doctors discovered during the operation and why the situation was worse than expected.
“My brothers, yesterday I had my facelift surgery too. And the dream I didn’t have the courage to access. He said what he found was woeful. I was missing a bone called a spine that supports the septum. I can’t wait to learn more, to document myself. It was rebuilt in the end from my rib, so you can’t believe, yes, I have a rib in my nose, as they say. And look, God has me taken there, because I had no idea, I would eat his nose, like Michael Jackson’s, so thank God for helping us. God help you, dad!” said the star on TikTok.
