The representatives of the FSLI and the ESF “Spiru Haret” ask them not to restrain them the right of the teachers to participate in the rally and the march scheduled on Monday, September 8th.
“Do not stop their colleagues who want to express their problems democratically and not threaten those who will want to participate in the meeting and march organized by the trade union federations. Everyone who will march on the streets of Bucharest will do it for you.”the trade unionists transmit.
The message published on Friday emphasizes the increased tensions in the system, powered by the recent legislative changes. According to the trade union organizations, the new measures, including “Increasing the didactic norm, combining the educational units, increasing the number of students in the classroom, and, last but not least, the increase of the chair for directors and inspectors”have been adopted “Without a real consultation and a serious impact study” and I put additional pressure on all actors in education.
“We understand the pressure you are subjected to: on the one hand, you have the responsibility to implement decisions from central level, and on the other hand, you face the legitimate dissatisfaction of the teachers, with the lack of resources and with the excessive bureaucracy. to the school communities ”the representatives of the federations transmitted.
The trade unionists specify that the protest is not directed against the directors or inspectors, but aims to obtain a “healthy, predictable and properly funded” education system. The message is appealed to solidarity:
“Let’s show together that the education system is united in the face of measures that undermine its foundation. Think about that before they are directors or inspectors you were just like those who, September 8, will shout their dissatisfaction. (…) Do not intimidate, do not cut their wings, just because a transient minister asks you. “
The Monday protest is organized by the representative trade union federations and will include a rally and a march in the Capital.
