According to a statement signed by the Federation of Free Trade Unions, the Federation of Education Unions “Spiru Haret” and the National Federation “Alma Mater”, the unions express their revolt against the provisions of Law no. 141/2025 regarding the educational system.
“Given cynicism and irresponsibility, the Bolojan Government, causes an unprecedented crisis in education in the last 35 years, considering that these measures practically mean the reorganization of a large part of the pre-university education, within a time of about a month. And the research, Mr. Daniel David, should have had the strength, to pay attention to the Prime Minister of the Government of Romania, Mr. Ilie Bolojan, that the education system is a complex one, and his employees are not only mere inventory objects, but they are human beings that cannot be discredited and humiliated, as the Governor proceeds, It is shown in the statement, writes Mediafax.
The unionists claim that the increase of the teaching norm by 2 hours will have serious consequences on the teachers.
“The reality of most schools show us that there will be titular teachers who will enter into activity restraint and qualified substitute teachers who will most likely not find a job. Regarding the titular teachers, there is a major risk that they will no longer receive their full salaries, because it will be impossible for them to be provided for 20 hours. cynicism.shows the trade union federations.
These are dissatisfied with the merging of hundreds of educational units that will lead to auxiliary and even administrative teaching staff, increasing the number of students in the classroom, which will lead to the return to the staff/preschoolers “historical” and, obviously, to groups/classes, with the consequence of the quality and the quality of the educational act, but also dramatic decrease in the hourly payment tariff.
“In taking these unprecedented measures for education and especially for pre -university education, a very active role in the Minister of Education and Research, Mr. Daniel David. In the vast majority of public statements, the minister hit in the education system and in his employees, some of these statements being even diversionary. Teaching norm of teaching in Romania It is below the average of the European Union ‘. FALSE! According to researchers at the Institute of Education Sciences, the teaching norm is 18 hours a week in Romania, which places our country at the average level of the European norm. Education has a great contribution to the deficit we have. In other words, with a financing of about 3% of GDP, given that the average of education financing in the European Union is about 4.7% of GDP, education has over the head. Let us remember that Mr. Mircea Miclea resigned from the position of Minister of Education because the education did not give him 5% of GDP. In the conception of Minister Daniel David, education can also be performing if underfinite. If you want to be a holder of the system, then you can not stay much about a school>. In other words, if in the school where you are the holder you cannot be provided with the 20 hours of teaching, you go where you find, that is, at 30-40 km. What will the teachers do to whom the 20 hours cannot be provided, being holders in 2-3 schools? They will add another school and stay in the means of transport more than they stand in front of the students ”are some of the examples of the trade unionists.
The trade unionists demand the resignation of the minister and announce that on Wednesday about 150 union members will picket the headquarters of the Ministry of Education and Research. Also, on September 8, on the first day of the new school year, over 30,000 union members will participate in the education rally.
